What is teacher’s day? , When is it celebrated? , Why is it celebrated? , Who are teachers? , What is the role of teachers in our daily life? , and finally who is the person behind all of this? , We are going to find the answers for all these questions in this article.

First of all, who are teachers? And what is the role of teachers in our daily life?

A teacher is one who holds our hand, acts as a guide and helps us to be successful in life. They are just like our second parents. A teacher is one who helps us in acquiring knowledge.

Teachers are just like our role model. Great teachers can change our entire life or career. They educate, inspire, they help us learn and they change our entire life. What a teacher does in our life, the effect which they have on our life and our career and everything else they do for us in our entire life cannot be ignored at all. Their contribution towards us cannot be forgotten. All teachers whether efficient or not, care only about their students and children more than their family. They never give up. They rise up to their full potential and can even inspire or influence the life of uninterested students and make them shine bright.

So basically, what is teacher’s day then? Teacher’s Day is a special occasion celebrated around the world, where special teachers in schools, colleges and universities are honoured and given respect by their students. Teacher’s is celebrated in different countries on different dates. Universal teacher’s day is celebrated on the 5th of October. But in our country, India, Teacher’s day is celebrated on the 5th of September in the memory of birth date of great teacher, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. This tradition has continued from the year 1962 till today. Dr. Radhakrishnan was a famous philosopher, scholar, and teacher and was also a famous politician. He was also the first vice president and the second president of independent India. His excellent contribution and dedication towards education made 5th September an important day in the history of India. Teaching is a very inspiring and influential profession. They have a special impact on students and turn them into responsible citizens

A man like Dr. Radhakrishnan should be paid with ovations from people around the world. It is a special day when the hard work and determination of a teacher is appreciated and applauded.

We all are well aware of the value of a teacher in our life. Every teacher is important and equally loved and respected by the students. Though, we give equal significance to all our teachers, sometimes there is a special teacher who has a good amount of influence on us, because of some of his or her qualities. It could be anything like co-operative and loving nature or an excellent academic knowledge. That teacher becomes our favourite teacher.

Mrs.Mohammedi is my favourite teacher in the school. I study in class 7thstandard and she teaches me mathematics. Sometimes, I used to get confused with the concepts that were difficult, but when she started teaching me all my doubts simply disappeared. She is a very good and an excellent teacher. She tries to make us learn maths in a simple and fun way. We enjoy her class a lot. She likes me as I am a disciplined and good student.

Finally to conclude, we should all respect our teachers and celebrate Teacher’s day as a token of love, respect, regards, admiration, appreciation, and honour to our teachers.
